Frankie Disanti has been selected to receive the 2025 Boston Bruins-
MIAA Sportsmanship Award. This award is presented annually by the Boston Bruins and the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) to one individual from each high school ice hockey league in the state who best exemplifies the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship. Frankie represents the Fay/ Wright League.
The presentation of this award will take place on Monday, March 17 at the TD Garden during the Boston
Bruins game against the Buffalo Sabres.


Agawam High School 2025 Spring Sport Registration Closes Monday, March 10, 2025 Registration closes 1 week prior to tryouts to ensure eligibility is complete.

Please note: A current physical (done within 13 months) is needed to participate in athletics at AHS.
Uniforms from all previously-played sports MUST be returned before approval is given for spring season. Students must be in good standing.
Softball - Girls ** 8th grade middle level waiver approved
Tennis - Boys ** 7th & 8th grade middle level waiver approved
Practice Schedules will be released to registered athletes the week of March 10

On Thursday, a group of students and faculty from AHS took part in a student summit at Springfield College. The summit was a chance for students to connect with peers, share experiences, provide feedback, through student led focus groups. The groups were able to think deeply about the best ways for collaboration and co-design a reimagined future for AHS. It was a great day had by all involved!









On Tuesday, 80 AHS student volunteers participated in a field trip going to Agawam's Elementary Schools. Throughout the afternoon, AHS Students read stories, led activities at recess and helped in Kindergarten to 4th Grade classrooms. This ended up being a fun day for everyone: the grammar school kids loved their visitors and it was a great way for AHS students to gain volunteer hours and leadership experience.

Students in Mr. Huestis´s Manufacturing/Engineering and Welding classes had an opportunity to learn more about Lincoln Technical Institute's programs and try virtual welding as well.



Art students in Mrs. Osborne's classes created a art installation celebrating Black History month at AHS.


Last week teachers at AHS participated in an "Underground Spirit week".








The Winterguard performed at the Salem Regional. This was a nationally ranked show, where the group represented Agawam on the national stage. The Winterguard improved on their national score from last year by over 2 points! We are very proud of our students' hard work and dedication.


Seniors on the Agawam Bowling Team celebrated a senior night.

The Best Buddies Club February meeting happened to fall on National Carnival Day They played carnival game and some students decided to make carnival type artwork as well.






GAMEDAY! Boys Basketball heads out to Leominster at 6:00 in the MIAA State Tournament!

The Percussion Ensemble performed at the School Committee on Tuesday, sharing several groovy tunes they had prepared since the beginning of January. Bravo!


The Winterguard had a successful show in Melrose last weekend! They received many compliments on their show and started the season with a score that was higher than their first show last year! This weekend they head to Salem, Ma for the Winter Guard International Salem Regional, which is a nationally ranked show.


MEETDAY! Track and Field travel to Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center today at 4:30 for states!
