Agawam Schools: There will be a 2 hour delay on Monday, January 8, 2024. With the 2 hour delay, plan on arriving at school exactly 2 hours later than normal. Arriving early can delay cleanup and make conditions worse for others. There also will be NO am preschool.

Students in the AHS visual art department took a field trip to the Worcester Art Museum and Worcester Polytechnical Institute. They took in a gaming exhibit at WPI and a tour which highlighted Black Artists, including a special Faith Ringgold exhibit, at the Worcester Art Museum.









Students and student athletes joined AHS coaches and staff in the national Wreaths Across America event, held Saturday at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam.


50 students from Ms. Bonavita's history classes at Agawam High enjoyed a day learning about Gilded Age tycoons in New York City on Thursday. Enjoying sites like Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park, the Plaza Hotel, and Rockefeller Center, the students had a safe, informative, and festive field trip!






This week the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Robert Welton visited Agawam High School and spoke to the Forensic, Career Exploration and Healthcare classes about possible careers in that field! This was an incredibly positive experience for students as they connect what they're learning in their classes to the real world and their potential future studies!


Members of the Class of 2024 were awarded John and Abigail Adams scholarships today. This merit-based program provides 8 semesters of free undergraduate tuition at any MA college or university. The award is based on student MCAS scores. Congratulations to all recipients!









AHS Hockey held their annual toy drive last weekend. It was another successful year for the boys! Lots of toys were collected to give back to the community this Christmas . It’s a great example of AHS students and families giving back to the community.
