Dear Families and Caregivers

I am writing today to inform you of our intent to file a waiver seeking approval for "alternate compliance with the requirement governing the establishment of a Special Education Parent Advisory Council" in accordance with requirement 603 CMR 28.03(5).
As part of our participation in the Office of Public School Monitoring; Integrated Monitoring review, this waiver meets said requirement set forth by the Integrated Monitoring Review.

The Agawam Public Schools Special Services Department will continue to attempt to attract families and caregivers to become members of the SEPAC. The Special Services Department will continue to schedule and hold periodic meetings regarding special education concerns. Scheduled meetings are posted on the Agawam Public Schools website and on our social media pages. The next scheduled meeting will be held February 11, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00.
