Visitors and Security

One of the best ways to provide a safe environment in which to learn is to know who is in the building at all times. Many thanks to everyone for their understanding with our sign-in procedures.  

Our buzzer system allows us to keep our doors locked throughout the school day. To enter the building, you must press a button outside the main entrance doors, this will alert the office to your presence and then access will be granted. We ask you go to the office where you will sign in to our visitor’s log letting us know the nature of your visit. A visitor’s badge will be given in exchange for your car keys or license.

 Benjamin Phelps Dismissal Policy

• Students will only be dismissed with a written note or email to the school secretary, vsolivan@agawamed.org.
   

• No changes in dismissal after 2:30 pm, latest time for dismissal is 3:00 pm

.

Report Student Absence

When calling the school to report your child's absence, please call the main number at 821-0586.
You may then select the new option " press 1" from the automated menu.
If you need to speak directly to the office, press 7.
Please do not call the nurse's office to report your child's absence.

Important Parent Information
Morning Drop-Off:

• No student will be admitted in the building prior to 8:45.

• Walkers enter through Front Door, Car Drop-off Students enter through the School St. access road.

• Students will proceed directly to the cafeteria.  

• The Carline Drop-off Door closes and is locked at 9:05 with the morning bell. If you arrive after 9:05, you must park and walk your child into the office to sign-in.

• Please do NOT park in the circle drive, this is reserved for Bus drop-off.
