Attention Grade 9 Students and Families

This year, the school district has added Grade 9 to a program that has been in existence at the middle and junior high levels. “Paper” is a homework support line that matches up teachers and students to help with classwork/homework 24/7. The slideshow linked below has flyers in multiple languages and simple instructions for signing in. We are officially launching this service November 1st, and all accounts are now active with support ready.
To start using “Paper,” go to https://app.paper.co or you can access through Clever. If you have any questions, please talk with your teacher.

Flex Block
As you may have heard we are resuming Flex Block this school year. In the past it was titled “ILT”, but it is now rebranded and titled Flex. Below you will find a cheat sheet for Flex. In the simplest of terms a flex block is dedicated time during the school day where students spend time with current teachers to receive intervention, enrichment, or makeup work. The key factor is that each student will need something different and the Flex Block is when they will get what they need. Traditional after school help will still be available, although we realize that scheduling, extracurriculars, and transportation can be a challenge to staying late. Below you will find a Flex Block cheat sheet and the new bell schedules.
Agawam Public Schools supports online education as a viable alternative methodology for the delivery of direct instruction. Gradpoint, an online program, is available to sophomore, juniors, and seniors who may desire to take a course not offered at Agawam High School. This option provides an opportunity for students to accelerate curriculum, to complete curriculum, and to provide learning opportunities in areas not available to the student due to scheduling or uniqueness of offerings. See your school counselor for more information.
