Students have the opportunity to earn college credits at STCC at no cost to them or their families, and gain insight as to whether the field is something they want to pursue in college or as a career.
Through the Innovation Pathways program, students participate in a variety of unique networking opportunities with business owners, hiring managers, and other decision makers in the industry to cultivate post-graduation student-employer relationships. In addition, local facility tours and panel discussions provide students with exposure to the workplace environment and the opportunity to learn about required 21st Century job skills. Students in the IP programs will participate in a 100-hour internship opportunity, community service opportunities, and receive employment preparation training, including but not limited to resume writing, job interview counseling, and work performance assessment training.
Innovation Pathways students must complete the academic requirements to successfully complete the program and a 100-hour internship. Additionally, students in each pathway have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials prior to graduating from Agawam High School.
